Objective

The course is aimed for seafarer assigned specific duties and responsibilities related to cargo and cargo equipment on board of oil tankers

Entry standards

The candidates should be a holder of a Certificates of Basic Safety Training (A-VI/1), Tanker Familiarization (A-V/1-1.2), Advanced Training in Fire Fighting (A-VI/3) and have documented sea service on board of oil tanker not less than 3 month.

Program

In accordance with IMO Model Courses 1.02 “Specialized Training for Oil Tankers”

Equipment

Classrooms for theoretical lessons equipped with Multimedia projectors, whiteboard. Liquid Cargo Operations Simulator (LICOS). Complete set of personnel safety equipment, including breathing apparatus, set of suitable protective equipment. Tank evacuating equipment (stretchers, etc.). Oxygen resuscitator. Filter-type respiratory protection for emergency escape. Self-contained breathing apparatus for emergency escape. Portable oxygen meter, combustible-gas detector and toxic-gas detector. A laboratory used on chemical tankers, etc.
